This slide plate is to cover up the contact points of the battery.

Fuji NP-W126 battery contacts cover. What I like about this design is that you can flip the cap when you are done to show that that one is empty. So you don’t keep on picked a empty battery

battery is design is not strong so you could other wise lift the battery plate up as well if you are
not careful
